Abstract | Zadaća ovog rada je pokušati objasniti što je to menadžment, razine menadžment, pristupe menadžmentu, vođenje, osobine uspješnog vođe te izazove s kojima se susreću suvremene organizacije. Menadžment je proces u kojemu se koordiniraju aktivnosti drugih ljudi pomoću kojih se ostvaruju ciljevi organizacije uz efikasnu i efektivnu uporabu svih raspoloživih resursa organizacije. Postoje tri razine menadžmenta odnosno vrhovni menadžment (Top Management), srednja razina menadžmenta (Middle Management) te najniža razina menadžmenta (First – line Management). Povjesni razvoj menadžmenta kao znanosti najbolje mogu opisati različiti pristupi menadžmentu kao što su klasični, bihevioristički, znanstveni, sustavski i kontigencijski. Menadžer je osoba čije primarne zadaće proizlaze iz procesa menadžmenta – on planira i donosi odluke, angažira i vodi ljude te kontrolira ljudske, financijske, fizičke i informacijske resurse. Globalizacija, interkulturalizam, multikulturalizam, poslovna i menadžerska etika, društveno odgovorno poslovanje, organizacija koja uči, žene u menadžmentu i upravljanje različitostima samo su neke od odrednica suvremenog doba poslovanja 21. stoljeća u kojemu su ljudski resursi postali centar poslovnih strategija modernih organizacija. |
Abstract (english) | The main goal of this paper is to explain management, level management, access management, leadership, traits of successful leaders and challenges modern organizations are facing. Management is a process that coordinates activities of people lead by goals of the organization towards an efficient and effective use of all available resources. There are three levels of management, top management, middle management, and first – line management. Historical development of management as a science can be best described through different approaches, such as classical, behavioral, scientific, systemic and contingency. A manager is a person whose primary tasks arise from management process – he plans and makes decisions, engages and leads people as well as manages available resources such as human, financial, physical and information. Globalization, interculturalism, multiculturalism, business and management ethics, corporate social responsibility, organization that educates, women in management and diversity management are some of the main aspects of the 21st-century modern business era where human resources became the center of business strategies in modern organizations. |
